New Website for Adventurize Goes Live

After 30 years we finally have a website!

Of course, that’s very misleading—this isn’t our first foray into the online world but rather the introduction of a new digital home specific to Adventurize itself. Our previous platforms include websites for Wired for Adventure, Adventure Bike Rider, and the ABR Festival.

But for a long time now, there has been a need for a space that connects the dots between these brands, explains who we are as Adventurize, showcases what we have achieved, and outlines how we can support both current and prospective clients. So, here goes nothing:

It all started in 1995 when Alun Davies, Chairman and Founder, decided he wanted a job that would allow him to travel the world and engage in his passion for mountain climbing. The offers didn’t come flooding in, so Alun created his own opportunity by launching what would become Wired for Adventure magazine. This marked the beginning of a three-decade-long journey promoting active, sustainable, and adventurous travel.

In the early days, the adventure travel industry was almost non-existent. Trade shows took place in school halls, the internet was barely a tool for business, and advertising budgets were limited to traditional TV, Radio, or magazines. Yet, year after year, Alun and his growing team consistently delivered a return on investment for their clients. As our readership expanded, so did the world’s appetite for adventure travel.

Our expertise evolved with the digital age. We developed a supporting website for our successful magazine and social media platforms to engage with new audiences, transitioning from a primarily editorial team into skilled digital marketers. When Alun decided it was time to get paid for his other passion (adventure motorcycling), Adventure Bike Rider was born. Today, it’s recognized as the world’s number one platform in its field, with the ABR Festival acclaimed as the event of the year in 2024 after being featured on Sky News.

Now, Adventurize is not just about magazines or festivals; we are a full-fledged marketing, events, and content creation business. Whether you need us to be an extension of your team, represent your brand, or engage with one of our established brands, we are equipped to support you. Welcome to the new digital home of Adventurize – where adventure meets reliability.
